Marketing Coordinator

Do you enjoy crafting stories? Does market research and layout/design excite you? Is social media second nature? If you want to join a prominent Architecture and Interiors firm in one of the fastest growing cities in the US, STG Design is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our Austin office. 

The marketing coordinator is a crucial member of a small team who creates meaningful work for the firm. This position is very hands-on and requires a diversity of skills, critical/strategic thinking, creativity, initiative, and playing well with others. The Marketing Coordinator balances and collaborates on deadline-driven projects all with a few key goals in mind: Communicate the essence of our firm, find a compelling story about each project, and seize each opportunity to promote a meaningful story that will resonate in the minds of our audiences. 

You Excel at:

  • Working with internal clients at all levels, independently and on a team, both in person and remotely
  • Understanding how each task fits into the bigger marketing ecosystem
  • Managing time and maintaining productivity with little supervision
  • Writing, editing, and proofreading

The Musts:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications or related field
  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing communications experience
  • Fluent in Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign
  • Exceptional organization skills, able to prioritize tasks to meet simultaneous deadlines
  • Proven graphic design experience and ability to follow design standards
  • Strong interpersonal and proactive communication skills
  • Sense of humor, patience, and a collaborative spirit

The Wants:

  • Experience with Hootsuite and email marketing platforms
  • Experience with CRM tools - Cosential and Vision are a plus
  • Experience working in the AEC industry is a huge plus

The Marketing Coordinator will work closely with the Marketing Director and the remote marketing team to:

  • Execute campaigns and marketing tactics as outlined in the strategic marketing plan
  • Develop and compose narratives for the firm’s content marketing plans
  • Manage editorial calendar, social media accounts and engagement
  • Create/curate content for STG Design’s blog, PR, and other communications campaigns
  • Analytics and data tracking required to meet marketing and communications objectives.
  • Maintain brand communications, including advertising, creative, event materials, and website updates
  • Capture our team and projects through dynamic photography and videos to enhance our digital presence
  • Design and produce branded pieces, including infographics, large-scale graphics, and promo items
  • Coordinate and support special events
  • Work with project teams to develop and customize presentations and RFP responses from kickoff to delivery
  • Coach interview teams on message and style for client interviews
  • Coordinate with photographers and attend Austin project photo shoots
  • Assist with data input to track customer engagement in our CRM software
  • Maintain systems and resources: online and physical filing systems, supplies, and stationery
  • Serve as STG Design’s brand ambassador

Interior Designer

Proposal Coordinator

STG Design is looking for a Proposal Coordinator to join our Austin office.

You excel at:

  • Working both independently and on a team with internal clients at all levels in person and remotely
  • Reviewing / interpreting RFPs to ensure competitive responses that are timely and compliant
  • Working with a project team to gather, organize, and tailor information to meet requirements
  • Crafting answers to persuasively tell the story of STG
  • Marketing data and customer retention management

The musts:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, marketing, communications or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in capture planning and proposal development in Architecture industry
  • Proposal development experience for broad range of RFPs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with an emphasis on persuasive writing, editing and presentation development
  • Team player with the ability to work well with all types and levels of professionals
  • Strong graphic and presentation experience
  • Proficiency in Word, InDesign and PowerPoint software
  • Outstanding organizational and logistical skills, ability to work under pressure and ability to work overtime
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem solving ability

The Proposal Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the Marketing Manager on proposal responses/interviews, lead tracking, and post-project data collection. Regular tasks include:

  • Support opportunity-specific market research, competitive analyses, etc. on leads, opportunities, clients, projects, and competitors.
  • Participate in capture planning/win strategy development with key role of identifying proposal needs (e.g., resources, materials, information, expertise) and in carrying out win strategy tactics.
  • Write new text and/or tailor existing materials (general text, resumes, project descriptions), which may include interviewing staff/technical experts, to incorporate win strategy/capture plan information into text, to meet RFP requirements, and provide the most competitive RFP responses.
  • Attend client pre-proposal and debrief meetings; share lessons learned and best practices across teams.
  • Perform a variety of data and knowledge management activities such as updating, organizing, cataloging and storing information for current and future proposal needs using a shared Inside Sales team network drive.
  • Support sales pipeline tracking, maintenance, training, reporting.
  • Support development of client interview presentations
  • Research potential clients, monitor websites for RFP’s
  • Track and monitor relationships

Interior Designer - Project Manager

STG Design is looking for a Project Manager to join the interior design staff in our Austin office.

You excel at:

  • Leading successful projects – focusing on design, schedule, budget, client satisfaction
  • Estimating fees, determine scope of work, and preparing proposals in conjunction with Director of Marketing / Studio Director
  • Managing project communication, documentation, and team assignments
  • Coordinating administrative and technical efforts to ensure efficient execution of projects
  • Developing conceptual ideas and space plans

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Managing project risk
  • Acting as the primary conduit for information between client and design team
  • Managing project team – internal design and technical team as well as external consultants – to keep everyone on task and on schedule
  • Setting technical direction and oversee design efforts
  • Controlling budget and schedule – monitoring progress and taking corrective action as necessary
  • Proactively communicating with client to resolve any client concerns, to manage business issues including collection of project receivables and issuance of ASRs, and to update client on project progress toward client’s stated goals
  • Closing out projects – archiving project documents, meeting with client, consultants, and GCs to document successes and areas for improvement, completing post-occupancy evaluation and one-year warranty walk
  • Directing, organizing, and mentoring junior staff
  • Participating in marketing efforts including leading client presentations and interviews

The musts:

  • 8 years of architectural or commercial interior design experience in one or more of the following project types: corporate/commercial office, tenant improvement, urban multi-family, student housing, hospitality, institutional (Licensed Architect or Designer preferred)
  • 5 years of Project Management experience (PMP preferred)
  • Knowledge of Revit skills and tasks required to model complex 3D geometry (we are committed to delivering all projects in Revit!)
  • Advanced knowledge of design process, documentation, Contract Administration
  • Experience negotiating and managing project scope and fees
  • Understanding of risk management
  • Financial accountability
  • Collaborative leadership style and outstanding people skills
  • Excellent problem solving, presentation skills, and attention to detail
  • LEED accreditation is a plus
  • Furniture experience is a plus
