STG Design Team Attends Ribbon-cutting for Pantex; NNSA's New Administrative Building

Amarillo, TX - The STG Design team and administration officials celebrated the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the opening of the new John C. Drummond Center at the Pantex Plant in Amarillo, Texas.

The Department of Energy's Pantex facility is managed and operated by Consolidated Nuclear Security, LLC for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) production office.

Designed in our Nashville office, this 343,000-square-foot building will provide an administrative and support facility charged with the safety, security, and effectiveness of the nation’s nuclear weapons mission at Pantex. This three-wing complex was designed to house 1,100 administrative staff and is equipped with a 300-seat auditorium, conference center, meeting spaces, full-service cafeteria, and medical and employee health and fitness facilities.

“This state-of-the-art facility is a tremendous milestone in our long-term efforts to modernize our nuclear security infrastructure,” said Lisa E. Gordon-Hagerty, DOE Under Secretary for Nuclear Security and NNSA Administrator.  “The dedicated and talented workforce at Pantex deserve a modern workspace to carry out our vital national security missions.”
