The project is a tilt-up Medical Office Building (MOB) with a stand alone pre-cast parking garage located in the Mueller Neighborhood of Austin, TX. The design intent was for a building that’s esthetically pleasing but also efficient and reduces carbon footprint significantly. By creating a user experience that starts before entering the MOB, it inspires confidence focusing on wellness of the end user.
The MOB is five stories tall and the parking garage is of seven levels and will fit approximately 600 vehicles. A highlight of the project is the solar canopy which will cover the entire garage roof. This will not only provide shading to the top most parking level but also offset the building (MOB) energy use by 44%. Mueller TC1B achieved LEED v4 Gold and Austin Energy Green Building Commercial Rating 3-star certifications.
